One Pot Pasta Bolognese
This Pasta Bolognese is almost as simple as our Super Easy Pasta & Meatballs, with a few extra ingredients but so deliciously complex in flavors. We simplified the original recipe so that it's almost a dump & go recipe. Another super quick and yummy weeknight dinner for the whole family!
INGREDIENTS
- 1 package of pasta
- 2/3 lbs ground beef
- 1 onion, diced
- 1 stalk of celery, chopped
- 8 mushrooms, chopped
- 3 cloves of garlic, minced
- Pinch of dried oregano
- Pinch of dried basil
- Salt & ground pepper
- Wine (we used Chardonnay)
For the Sauce:
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 2 cups water
- 1 can (6 oz) tomato paste
- 2 tbsp light soy sauce
- 1 tbsp fish sauce
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
INSTRUCTIONS
- Make the sauce by combining the chicken broth, water, tomato paste, light soy sauce, fish sauce and Worcestershire sauce in a bowl. Set aside.
- Put the Instant Pot in "Saute" mode and heat up a little oil. Add the ground beef and stir for 3-4 minutes. Season with salt & pepper.
- Add the onion and garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes. Then add the celery and mushrooms and cook for another 1-2 minutes.
- Pour yourself a glass of wine and add a splash into the Instant Pot.
- Add the sauce mixture and dried pasta. (Make sure the pasta is all submerged in sauce). Add a pinch of dried basil and pinch of dried oregano.
- Set the Instant Pot to "Pressure Cook" on High for 6 minutes, let it natural release for 5 minutes, then quick release the rest
- Mix, top with some parmesan, and serve
- Enjoy the rest of the wine!
